Gosford Race Club is proud to sponsor local rider Sally and her OTTB, Golden Tycoon (Ted), at the 2026 @equimillionevent!
Sally spent 13 years as an equine nurse at Wyong Equine Clinic before joining the racing industry with Gregory McFarlane in 2018, where she continues to love her job today.
Sally has been with Ted since he was a 2-year-old, riding him in trials and strapping him throughout his racing career, including a third in the Rosebud and a win in the Newcastle Provincial Championships.
After retiring in 2021, Ted became Sally’s own, and together they’ve embraced life after racing, with show jumping now their passion.
We’re so proud to support Sally & Ted as they take on Equimillion 2026, held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre from 2–5 October!

It was a quieter week of racing for our Gosford trainers, but there were still some fantastic results from those who travelled around the country.

An extraordinary finish from Adam Duggan’s Erina, taking out 1st place in the The Bellevue Hotel Golden Mile Class 2 Showcase Handicap.

On the Gosford Trainers’ Premiership ladder, Adam Duggan has taken the lead with 2 wins, while Kylie Gavenlock and Gregory McFarlane are both on 1 win.

Congratulations to Mollie Fitzgerald and Mitch Stapleford, who have been named joint winners of the 2025/26 Gosford Apprentices’ Premiership.
Both riders finished the season with six wins at Gosford, resulting in a dead heat and the premiership being shared.

Bella has been part of the Gosford racing community since she was 15, starting as a ground worker before progressing to riding trackwork.
After Flea retired from racing, he was gifted to Bella in 2023. Since then, they’ve built an incredible partnership, discovering a love for jumping and eventing along the way.

Gosford Jockeys’ Premiership Winner 🏆
Congratulations to Zac Lloyd, who has taken out the 2025/26 Gosford Jockeys’ Premiership with 11 wins for the season.
Zac finished two wins clear of Tommy Berry to claim the title after another outstanding season in the saddle.

Scone – 1 September 2026
Adam Duggan’s Rockin’ Millie put in a strong performance, finishing a close 3rd in the Vinery Stud Class 3 Handicap.
Kempsey – 5 September 2026
Nick Mitchell also had a close finish, with Touchatism running 4th in the O’Donnell & Hanlon Maiden Plate.
Muswellbrook – 8 September 2026
Angela Davies’ Magatama finished 4th in the Big Dance Day on 3 November Maiden Handicap after another competitive run.
Hawkesbury – 10 September 2026
Kylie Gavenlock had two strong results, with Zaddicted finishing 5th in the Group One Thoroughbreds Provincial Maiden Handicap, while Isobel finished 7th in the same race.
On the Gosford Trainers’ Premiership ladder, Kylie Gavenlock and Adam Duggan are both currently sitting on one win each.

Gosford Premiership Winners 🏆
Congratulations to Zac Lloyd and Mollie Fitzgerald on their outstanding 2025/26 seasons at Gosford.
Zac claimed the Gosford Jockeys’ Premiership with 11 wins, finishing two wins clear at the top of the standings.
Mollie was named joint winner of the Gosford Apprentices’ Premiership, with Mitch Stapleford after finishing the season with six wins.
It was fantastic to celebrate their achievements, with our CEO Daniel Lacey presenting the premiership trophies.
