Welcome to the April edition of our monthly newsletter from The Entertainment Grounds. We are pleased to bring you all of the news from The EG from upcoming race days, events, trainers, functions and events.
The Entertainment Grounds hosted the third qualifying round of the $150,000 Polytrack Provincial Championships on Saturday 17th March. Kris Lees’ trained Serene Miss with jockey Aaron Bullock took out the $150,000 Provincial Championships Qualifier (1200m), adding another qualifier to his mix heading into the $500,000 Championship Final at Royal Randwick on April 14th. Wyong trainer Kim Waugh ran second with Newsfan while Michelle Ritchie and Can’t Find Snippy rounded out the top three qualifiers.
Saturday 17th March also marked annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Entertainment included live music, kids activities, Irish Dancers, craft beer and food trucks as well as the St Patrick’s Day VIP Marquee which featured well known local artists Steamboat Hollow and DJ Steve Pike.
Next up on the racing calendar is our annual ANZAC Day Race Day on Wednesday 25th April. Once again, The Entertainment Grounds have partnered with Hit 101.3 Sea FM to bring you live racing, kids activities, Two-Up, live music, food trucks, Beer Garden VIP marquee and more!
