Gosford Race Club will run a special Picnic Trainer’s League with a prize pool of $1,500 on offer.
The rules are very simple, every trainer that starts a horse receives one (1) point, a first place finish receives an additional three (3) points, second place an additional two (2) points and third place an additional one (1) point. The trainer with the most amount of points after the five (5) races will receive $1,250 and the runner up $250 (a tie/draw will result in a split pot).
Owners are not forgotten with a $50 hospitality voucher* being awarded to the collective ownership of each starter.
All jockeys are eligible for a $250 travel allowance that is payable by Gosford Race Club.
*Hospitality vouchers are only valid for Melbourne Cup Picnic Raceday 2018. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or cash equivalents; any balance remaining on the voucher is null and void.
Vouchers can be used in any of the retail bar or catering outlets operated by The Entertainment Grounds (Gosford Race Club). Vouchers are non-transferable and can only be redeemed by the authorised/appreciate person.
